Plots and Schemes
Posted by Razz on July 31st, 2010
Ooo, that plot stew is getting thicker. I'm sure this won't cause any problems at all. :D

There is a TON of new stuff in the gallery this week! First up is some brand new Sekhmet art (featuring Bast) by Kayla in fan art. That's followed up by a little side of two new doodles by Razz, and a little something in donation art to thank Meister Li for...

...translating the comic into German!

Seriously! Even if you don't speak a word of German (like me :D), you should check it out! It's really cool to read. Also, apologies for how disorderly the gallery folder is for the German translation. I will work on fixing that and possibly getting the files put in a more accessible location for our German readers.

Everyone, go tell Meister Li how awesome he is. :)

Anubis approves of his new German accent. :D
+1 Desk
Posted by Razz on July 24th, 2010
Because the office just isn't right without that desk in it. :D

There's a new piece of fan art by Michele Light in the gallery, and a get well soon piece starring Lora in the Razz art section.

If you're a big fan of "Ye Gods!" and would like some custom art of the characters from the comic, I'm always open for commissions of the cast and these pieces are discounted from my normal commission prices. :)

* sketch: $5
* basic line art: $20
* fancy line art: $30
* extra character: $10

If you're interested, you can contact me through either one of my galleries or by e-mail at confiscatedretina(AT)gmail.com More information about my commissions is available here (just scroll down to the section labeled "commissions"). :)
One Chair Later...
Posted by Razz on July 17th, 2010
He must have had some crazy adventures getting that chair. :D

There is awesome new art in the fan art gallery by DripRat/David Hopkins! And some joker put a new doodle in the art by Razz section.
Back from the Dead
Posted by Razz on July 10th, 2010
Hey, gang! Stoker and I are officially back from our trip and the comic will be resuming it's course next Saturday. :)

In the meantime, here's one last bit of amazing guest art by the talented EvilEngine9 on deviantART. If the style looks familiar, it is possible that you have been reading EvilEngine9's awesome comic, String Theory (the tale of future mad scientist Herville Schtein).

To celebrate our return, there is also some new fan art in the gallery: a pair of collaborations with Kayla, a new Sekhmet pin-up by David Hopkins, and Anubis going on a date courtesy of TechnicolorPie. :D

I hope you guys had a good time while we were away. :)
Lora Confronts the Dark...man. :D
Posted by Razz on May 28th, 2010
If you've spent much time in the Fan Art gallery, you might recognize the creative stylings of PurpleSerguei in this piece. Which is good because she drew it. :D

It seems that poor Lora just can't catch a break and she's run into the nefarious Darkman. I'm certain something unexpected and bizarre will save the day...or make things even more harrowing. It's hard to say, really.

PurpleSerguei is quite prolific and you can see more of her wonderful work at her deviantART gallery.
A Legend from Ekwara
Posted by Razz on May 28th, 2010
The Jaunx, a race of diminutive cat people in Tod Wills' world of Ekwara, have many legends. One such tale is of a clever thief who crept into the temple of a feline goddess with robbery in mind. When the thief tried to take the bejeweled eyes from a statue of the goddess, the deity herself appeared in her warrior form. Being very quick-witted, the thief placated the goddess with beer and escaped with fur intact.

Sounds like someone we know, doesn't it? :D

As well as creating the myth I paraphrased above and today's illustration of Sekhmet with a couple of Jaunx, Tod is the author of the webcomic Ekwara (from whence the Jaunx hail) and his own comic adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula. He is quite prolific and you can see even more of his work at his main site, .
Creepy Insect Products Courtesy of Krin!
Posted by Razz on May 28th, 2010
At long last, Creepy Moth and Creepy Butterfly have their full moment in the limelight!

If you ever wondered what those insedious insects got up to when they weren't hiding in tombs or demanding souls in tribute, Krin sheds some light on the subject. :D Krin does some awesome art over at her gallery on deviantART and she writes the best fanfic I have ever read.
Loki, Messenger...OF THE GODS!
Posted by Razz on May 28th, 2010
Or at least one god, whether he likes it or not. :D

Today's comic is by the fantastic Loki! He's one of the nicest guys I know and has a wicked sense of humor. You can see more of his work at his gallery right here!
Guest Artist Month!
Posted by Razz on May 28th, 2010
Anubis is currently navigating his office chair through the Underworld, a feat much more dangerous (so I've been told) than carrying a desk. As you can see, there are perils everywhere. Yes... :D

While Anubis is getting his chair back to Osiris' throne room, Stoker and I will be out of town. We're leaving on May 29 and will be attending Califur, so be sure to look for us in the dealer's room if you're attending!

Alas, we won't be back home until July 9. Fortunately, you won't have to go without your favorite deities and mortals while we're away thanks to some amazing and awesome people! That's right: every week from now until our return, you'll get to see "Ye Gods!" as interpreted by several other amazing artists. Endless thanks to the good folks who contributed comics and art for the site and to our wonderful readers for your patience. :)

Before I go, however, I've got a little bit of awesome new art by Kayla in the Fan Art gallery and a little doodle by me in Art by Razz.

Enjoy the first days of summer and I look forward to seeing you guys again in July!
